- S25-109 Transport Driver (LC3)
Lancashire Constabulary’s Estates and Facilities Stores and Transport Team is seeking a Transport Driver to be based at Hutton Headquarters. The site is accessible by public transport and there is also free car parking on site.
The purpose of this role is to provide a comprehensive transport service across the Constabulary ensuring that business requirements and objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- To be responsible for the transportation of correspondence such as mail, stores equipment, ICT equipment and evidential materials including firearms and drugs across the Constabulary as directed, ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed.
- To hold responsibility for the daily checking and maintenance of vehicles used for transportation including refuelling as and when required.
- To ensure all necessary administrative functions in relation to daily job sheets, overtime sheets etc. are completed fully in a timely manner.
- To ensure necessary administrative receipts are maintained to ensure access to comprehensive and accurate information.
- To deliver high quality provision of support services to internal and external service users ensuring full compliance with agreed Service Level Agreements are met.
- To provide assistance to the Post Room teams with regards to the additional sorting and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail as required to meeting necessary deadlines of internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a strong personal commitment to delivering and achieving value for money, whilst providing high quality service.

Skills and Experience:
- To have worked as a driver in a large scale organisation
- Experience of communicating effectively across a wide spectrum of people
- Demonstrates self-motivation and willingness to develop self within the role
- Experience of working effectively as part of a team
Vetting and Medical:
Successful applicants will be required to pass Recruitment Vetting prior to commencing their role. You will also be subject to a medical assessment.
