Currently we have vacancies within the following areas of the Crime Directorate.  There may be additional vacancies available within other departments in due course and wherever possible we will look to accommodate requests in order of preference considering this alongside operational needs.

 

  • Child Investigation Team (Based at Chesterfield and Derby)
  • Rape and Serious Sexual Offences Unit (Based at Chesterfield and Derby)
  • High Risk Domestic Abuse (Based at Chesterfield and Derby)
  • Criminal Investigation Dept (Based at Chesterfield and Derby)
  • Major Crime Unit (MCU) (Based at Derby)
  • Economic Crime Unit (Derby, Chesterfield, or HQ (Ripley)

In return, as a detective officer transferring from a Home Office Police Force, you will retain:

  • Your previous service and current levels of pay (excluding force specific benefits i.e. London weighting).
  • Annual leave entitlement, as long as there is no break in service.
  • Your current pension arrangements.

We are also able to offer the 'Recommend Derbyshire' scheme for this vacancy, the details of which are attached.

The must haves

  • Substantive in the rank of constable.
  • Be a member of a Home Office force or Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) or Police Scotland (please note we cannot accept an application to transfer from an officer serving with a non-Home Office police force).
  • Evidence of completion of ICIDP and competency at PIP level 2.
  • Experience of working in a PIP level 2 environment.
  • Have a full manual driving licence
  • Prepared to use own vehicle and undertake assessment to drive Derbyshire police vehicles
  • Have no outstanding discipline or integrity issues.
  • Have an in date job related fitness test (JRFT) and Public and Personal Safety Training (PPST)
