End User Device Engineer

We are looking for an End User Device (EUD) field Engineer who will be responsible for resolving incidents with IT hardware issued to our end users, from laptops, mobile phones and desktops to monitors and Body Worn Videos.
Our Engineers are expected to deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring the workforce is provided with working equipment quickly and within Service Level and Experience Level Agreements.
We are looking for an experienced Engineer who can trouble shoot hardware related issues, you should be proactive in assisting end users and must be able to evidence your ability to identify trends with hardware incident and how you would investigate these to identify a resolution
The successful candidate must be able to triage broken devices and should be used to working with third party suppliers to log incidents with a suitable level of detail to allow them to resolve the issues.
You will be able to build laptops and desktops, preparing them for deployment, have experience in managing devices through InTune and have a good working knowledge of asset management when dealing with hardware.
EUD Engineers are expected to work with other ICT Teams, supporting the wider delivery of incidents and project work. They also engage with our ICT Business Partners, ensuring our delivery is in line with the business expectations.
We look to our engineers to support large scale movement of IT equipment, this includes safe packaging, transport and installation in new locations, this installation included patching within our infrastructure.
The successful candidate will be based at Portsmouth Police Investigation Centre, however will be expected to travel across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, there may also be a requirement to travel into Thames Valley Police in this Field role.
We operate an, out of hours, on call capability, to which you will be expected to contribute.
You must have capability to travel to different locations across both Forces and undertake all assignments in a timely manner. Due to the requirement to work flexibly, unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working; public transport may not be available or suitable at these times. For this reason a full UK driving licence is considered essential.
