Applications are invited for Crime Recording PC within Contact Management Division based at Hutton Headquarters, Lancashire Constabulary.

Please note this opportunity is only open to current serving Police Constables who have completed their probationary period and are wanting to transfer to Lancashire Constabulary. 

This exciting team plays a vital role in reducing demand at first point of contact, speaking to victims directly when they report a crime that is not ongoing and reported via the FCR or online.

You will undertake appropriate telephone-based investigations, record crime accurately and provide updates and appropriate advice to the victim before completing or allocating where appropriate. As part of this role you will also QA and link and carry out other administrative tasks linked with crime recording.

We are looking for dynamic individuals who will offer a high level of customer service for victims of crime. Crime Recording PC’s will ensure vulnerable victims are identified early within the crime recording and investigation process as well as making appropriate referrals through supportive pathways as near to first contact as possible. 

This role does require Officers to work a variety of shifts, please see attached rota for more details.
