We look forward to reading your application for the role of Strategic Asset Manager.

The selected candidate will:

Play a key part as a senior member of our professional Property & Environment team, you will provide strategic asset management as part of an intelligent client function. You will be responsible for ensuring the right accommodation is provided in line with business need to satisfy customer delivery aspirations, aligning the property asset plans with business strategies, ensuring efficiency in space use and creating a portfolio of quality accommodation. With an awareness of bigger picture issues, you will play a critical role in blending data-driven knowledge with strategic customer insights, channelling these to design and drive forward the College Estate Strategy in support of the organisation’s strategic objectives. Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders internally and externally and building a keen understanding of business operating models, strategy, objectives and risks at all levels will be key components of this challenging and rewarding role.

Person specification

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Take a proactive role in the production of Strategic Asset Management Plans over the long - medium term to annual short-term interventions. These will be translated from customer / business strategy information through a portfolio lens perspective.
  • Work with colleagues in translating the College stakeholder business strategies into real estate related consequences which will be channelled to design the strategic deliverables of the College Estate Strategy and the Property Services Strategy.
  • Lead and manage on-site support teams to deliver fully compliant, effective and responsive services, focused on the needs of the customer and which support & respond to customer needs.

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

  • Working knowledge and relevant experience within a real estate/property profession discipline.
  • Experience in portfolio strategic planning and scenario analysis, incorporating demand management, market opportunities
  • Working knowledge of feasibility analysis and financial appraisal, identifying return on investment analysis.
