CTPNW - PNR Intelligence Researcher - Grade E - NBTC - Greater Manchester Police

Counter Terrorism Policing North West (CTPNW) is a five-force collaboration delivering Counter Terrorism (CT) services to our regional forces as well as forming part of the national CT Network. CTPNW’s mission is to work together to keep people safe from terrorism.

We are looking for a committed and outstanding individual who can support CTPNW in achieving its mission.

NBTC is classed as a National Critical Infrastructure Site due to the work that is performed by the staff and the IT that is accessed to perform the critical role. The PNR intelligence researcher performs an essential role ensuring data released abides by PNR legislation by liaising with SIOs and deconflicting using a range of systems. They are also involved in supplying statistics for the unit for performance to assess demand on the business and national capability in the counter terrorism and territorial policing spaces.

Approval must be sought from HR for all applications for out of force/external secondments. Therefore, if you are planning on applying for this secondment please fully complete the Secondment Authorisation Form and send to Workforce Planning (workforce.planning@cheshire.police.uk).

Please send authorisation forms, with Line Manager and Superintendent/ Head of Department approval to Workforce Planning at least 3 working days before the closing date. Workforce Planning will then review eligibility.

Please be advised that following a successful application, final release will be subject to approval by the Deputy Chief Constable. HR reserve the right to withdraw any application that has not been granted approval.

Police Staff are required to relinquish their substantive post if the secondment duration is expected to be over one year.
