Force Safeguarding (Stalking) Coordinator

Location - Fareham Police Station

Salary - Scale 6 , £32,247 - 34,329 per annum 

Hours - 37 hours per week

Contract Type - Temporary , untill 31/03/2026

About the Role

To proactively assess and review live police investigations, identify risk and safeguarding opportunities, and be a contributing member of the Hampshire Stalking triage and clinic. 

Key Accountabilities include but are not limited to : 

 

1. To develop subject matter expertise on stalking. 
 

2. To conduct and document reviews of all stalking referrals that come into the offender management hub and complete further risk assessments specific to Stalking. 
 

3. To make decisions around which cases will be discussed by a panel for immediate actions/full risk assessment. 
 

4. To make these decisions with an investigative mind-set on the basis of risk and safeguarding. 
 

5. To provide specialist advice, tactical guidance, direction and support in respect of stalking.
 

6. To maintain partner relationships in Hampshire and nationally and to complete all work alongside a multi- agency team with the Force Stalking Coordinator. 

7. To work with partner agencies as part of the Multi Agency Stalking Partnership, supporting training and the organisation of Hampshire events where required.

Essential Qualifications

Educated to QCF Level 3 OR work experience deemed to have brought the post holder to a comparable level. To be competent in the use of windows based computerised systems, specifically Word and Excel. 

Essential Experience
 

Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise own workload  

Experience working in a busy office environment 

Desirable Experience
 

To have previous experience of Police based systems including RMS Niche, PNC & PND.

Previous experience of working within Hampshire & IOW Constabulary or other law enforcement criminal justice agency

The role may suit a retired/former Police/Detective Sgt or Staff member
