The PFCC is seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to provide oversight, support, and coordination for the Sexual Abuse Strategic Partnership. This role is pivotal in steering and enabling a consistent multi-agency response to tackle sexual violence and abuse. You will develop, consult on, and oversee the implementation and delivery of a partnership sexual abuse strategy and associated action plan. Building and nurturing relationships with relevant partners and service providers is key to developing and implementing collaborative activities and identifying further opportunities for effective integration and cooperation.
Main Responsibilities:

Leadership and Coordination: Lead and drive the Sexual Abuse Strategic Partnership’s programme of work, monitoring progress and impact against strategic objectives and individual actions.

Project Management: Directly manage projects and activities that align with the partnership strategy, utilising appropriate programme and project management methodologies.

Accountability: Hold partners accountable for delivering against the objectives in the partnership strategy.

Horizon Scanning: Stay updated with relevant national and local developments, sharing information and opportunities with the Strategic Group and key stakeholders.

Membership Development: Develop and maintain SASP membership, encouraging regular attendance by representatives of all relevant partners.

Funding Opportunities: Identify and develop opportunities for additional funding to support and enhance the partnership’s work, assisting partners in securing funding where appropriate.

Data Management: Develop and share a core data partnership dataset to inform policy and practice.

Asset Management: Maintain assets to support the partnership’s priorities, including a risk register, action plan, terms of reference, forward plan, and meeting minutes.

Legislation and Best Practice: Understand the implications of local and national guidance/legislation/best practice on the partnership’s work, championing the partnership’s ambitions and objectives.

Needs Assessments: Lead or contribute to relevant needs assessments to inform service and project planning and shape commissioning intentions.

Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues within the PFCC’s office and external agencies to develop and deliver effective policies, strategies, and projects to tackle sexual abuse.

Communication: Prepare briefing papers and respond to information requests and enquiries as required.

Funding Pursuit: Proactively identify and pursue opportunities for external funding and resources to tackle sexual abuse across Southend, Essex, and Thurrock.

Event Organisation: Organise and support strategic partnership meetings, workshops, events, and forums.

Reporting: Support regular update reporting to relevant strategic partnerships and working groups, ensuring key stakeholders are appropriately briefed on the partnership’s work.
Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a multi-agency partnership setting.

Strong project and programme management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

Knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance, and best practices related to sexual abuse.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.

Essex Police offer incremental increases within this salary band, therefore the salary for this position will rise to a maximum of £47,709.00.
