Salary: Starting Salary £50,330 plus £6,710 London Weighting plus £200 London Allowance per annum

Location: Guildhall Yard East, London. The role will involve extensive travel across the UK. There will be a high degree of flexibility to work from home where appropriate. A London weighting will be paid.

About the team
The National Lead Force has a responsibility to coordinate the policing of fraud across England and Wales. You will be leading the work of a small team of subject matter experts as part of the National Coordinators Office who are actively involved in improving the way in which policing manages its response to fraud, particularly how fraud impacts on victims.
About the role
This is a truly exciting role that will become vacant later this year. It will provide the postholder with the opportunity to build, or access existing, relationships internally and across the policing network, wider law enforcement and partner agencies in order to bring about a a stronger, effective and more efficient framework by which members of the public can be protected from fraud. The identification and sharing of good practice is a key element of the role as is the need to monitor performance, support and provide guidance across a multitude of key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Promote the role of the National Lead Force (NLF) and co-ordinate NLF messaging to the law enforcement community and stakeholders.
- Develop and promote consistent service delivery models that are locally adaptable and aligned to the National Economic Crime Policing Strategy.
- Identify and engage with stakeholders on policy, regulation and legislation to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the policing response
- Identify, develop and share good practice
- Work with HMG and partners to monitor the effectiveness of policing activity
Requirements
We are seeking an individual who has significant experience or knowledge of working within a policing economic crime environment. The candidate must possess an understanding of the strategic governance and management of fraud principles that operate within policing and be able to demonstrate a wider understanding of economic crime.

Selection Process
As part of the initial application process, you will be asked to evidence how your experience, skills, and knowledge demonstrate your ability to meet the person specification of the role.
The application and interview will be tested under Level 2 of the College of Policing Competency and Values Framework.
Applicants who fail to address the skills/knowledge/experience of the job description will not be considered.
The closing date for applications is Tuesday 22nd April 2025 at 12:00 midday.
Following shortlisting, successful candidates will be invited to attend a competency-based interview, to be held from Tuesday 6th May 2025.
