Salary: £40,910 plus £6,710 London Weighting

About the role
The purpose of this post is to support the coordination and delivery of Victim Services for the City of London Police, and manage the Victim Services Coordinator, providing tactical direction and supporting/delivering strategic intentions and objectives.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be:
- Providing tactical direction to ensure the successful implementation and delivery of the victim strategy.
- Working closely with, and reporting to, the strategic lead for victim services.
- Ensuring victims services are joined up across Ops and Security and the wider City of London Police, sharing good practice and promoting efficiency and effectiveness.
- Chairing the Victim Working Group to bring together frontline leaders and subject matter experts in the pursuance of sustaining and improving victim services and delivering comprehensive support for the delivery of the Victim Services Board.
- Where appropriate, acting as a conduit between CoLP, CoL Corporation and any victim services independent providers which may involve problem solving, escalation of issues and identifying gaps/opportunities.
Requirements
For this role, we need you to have:
- Supervisory, leadership or mentoring experience.
- Excellent report writing skills to provide key information to assist decision making that is both clear and auditable.
- Proven ability to successfully manage projects/initiatives and work effectively as part of a wider team.
- Proven ability to present to large groups of stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent knowledge of policy, procedure, and legislation in Victim Services both locally (CoLP) and Nationally.

As part of the initial application process, you will be asked to evidence how your experience, skills, and knowledge demonstrate your ability to meet the person specification of the role.
The application and interview will be tested under Level 2 of the College of Policing Competency and Values Framework.

Following shortlisting, successful candidates will be invited to attend a competency-based interview, to be held week commencing 28th April 2025.
