2025 - Chief Superintendent Promotion Boards

Gloucestershire is a largely rural county with two large urban conurbations including the City of Gloucester and Cheltenham Spa. We are home to two Royal Households and a number of significant events attracting national attention throughout the year, including the National Hunt Festival at Cheltenham Racecourse and the Royal International Air Tattoo in Fairford. There is a strong military presence in the county as well as an important Government footprint.

The Constabulary is looking to appoint a Head of Local Policing and Head of Corporate Development, both established roles providing critical support to the constabulary’s leadership.

Both these posts will be responsible for working with senior colleagues to lead important parts of the Constabulary and translate the recent additional growth in resources into clear operational outcomes and performance improvements with a focus on standards and efficiency.
