Intelligence Analyst RASO (Secondment/Fixed Term Contract)
Secondment/Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2026.
This is a new and exciting opportunity to work as an Intelligence Analyst, working across rape and sexual offences, including developing analysis around pre-cursor, non-contact, predatory and repeat offenders. You will be working as part of the Rape and Sexual Offences Support, Standards and Performance Team, helping embed prevention and deliver a suspect-focused response for the force.
The successful candidate will have substantial current role-related experience as an Analyst in a police environment or partnership agency with an excellent understanding of the National Intelligence Model and experience of delivering intelligence products, crime analysis tools, methodology and specialist software. You will have experience of producing analytical reports and products and be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills with experience of negotiating and persuading. You will be able to deliver presentations, attend and engage in briefings and meetings within a police and agency environment. You will have good legislative knowledge e.g. ECHR, RIPA, Data Protection, Discrimination, etc. and advanced IT skills. Proven research skills are required with the ability to problem solve. You will be able to work effectively with minimum supervision whilst remaining team focussed. The ability to work under pressure, prioritise workloads and produce accurate work within tight deadlines is essential. A flexible approach to working hours is required whilst being self-motivated and taking personal responsibility when using your own initiative.
The successful candidate must have capability to travel to different locations across the Force and undertake all assignments in a timely manner. Due to the requirement to work flexibly, unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working; public transport may not be available or suitable at these times. For this reason a full UK driving licence is considered essential.
