As the Director of Forensic Services, you will provide strategic leadership and management of the East Midlands Special Operations Unit – Forensic Services collaboration
Ensuring that the delivery of forensic services can continue to improve in efficiency and effectiveness.
What you’ll be doing
Undertake and execute the responsibilities of the Director of EMSOU-Forensic services including;
- The management of the multi-million-pound external forensic contract on behalf of the East Midlands region.
- The day-to-day organisation, direction and management of EMSOU-FS including the professional leadership of the officers and staff
- Champion the effectiveness of forensic services, to ensure this specialist capability is integrated into operational policing, delivering to local Police and Crime Plans.
The must haves
- The ability to turn strategic aims and objectives into effective plans that, when implemented, have delivered excellent public service.
- Experience at a senior management level within multi-disciplined units, including the supervision of staff and the management of service performance
- Experience of managing a complex multi-million-pound budget across revenue and capital work streams including a clear understanding of the procurement of services.

Full Time, 37 hours per week (Monday – Sunday)
