Historical Tour Guide Volunteer (Kingstanding)
Kingstanding Police training site has a rich and unique history. As such there is often interest from the public in the site. Sussex Police provides tours, by request, for groups interested in the history of the site. We are looking for an enthusiatic volunteer to support with tours and to support with the administration of these tours.

The role will require the volunteer to arrange, administer and present site tours to small groups of members of the public interested in the history of the site liaising with site training teams to avoid conflicting demands on the areas within the site.
Manage enquiries for tours.
Prepare and plan, then deliver tours for visitors. R
esponsible for the H&S for the tour groups, including fire safety.
Collect and manage attendees voluntary donations.
Skills & ExperienceKnowledge and interest in the history of the site, a desire to engage with the public.
Confident in public spreaking.
Volunteering hours will be influenced by the number of tours based on interest in them. 1-2 hours per fortnight administering expressions of interest, admin and paperwork around the tours. 4-6+ hours on tour days including preparation, delivery and locking up. Variable hours developing the tour as required/desired.
