S5-Case Conference Officer
The Case Conference Officer is a key contributor to the Child Protection process. Their role is to enhance and support the quality of service provided Vulnerability Hub by ensuring detailed reports for initial and review child protection case conferences are prepared and presented in line with safeguarding and information sharing procedures.
The primary responsibilities include are to;
- Gather, review and assess all relevant police information in order to prepare reports to the required standard that are compliant with legislation and guidance to support the decision making process in regards to child safeguarding.
- To represent the Constabulary at all Local Authority initial child protection case conferences and where appropriate review child protection case conferences. To deliver the police information at conference, consider the information shared by the other parties then formulate a recommendation based on risk and protective factors as to whether a child or children should be made subject to or stood down from a child protection plan and the risk category.
- Create, update and maintain family safeguarding files on police systems. As well as maintaining and updating relevant flags and markers on persons and addresses to ensure correct procedures are followed if the child and/or family come into contact with the police.
- Work closely with partners and police colleagues to ascertain and share any relevant information to ensure that children are safeguarded through the child protection process.
- To provide administrative support to enable the efficient provision of service.
- The role will be based in Warrington however applicant must be able to travel around the county in order to provide cover when required.
- This role is subject to enhanced vetting.
