West Yorkshire Police is seeking to appoint an experienced Mechanical and Electrical Clerk of Works to join their Estates Department.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with the abilities to provide an in-house clerk of works service across both disciplines. The role will specifically support the delivery of the Repairs and Maintenance Contract alongside ad hoc support of project delivery.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in the Mechanical and Electrical industry and have a City and Guilds L3/ONC qualification and/or proven relevant experience.
The role requires a clear working knowledge of current industry regulations, standards and best practice, Health and Safety legislation and statutory compliance requirements with the ability to respond to day to day issues and solve practical problems working as part of the wider on site Project Team.
With excellent communication skills, being able to provide oral and written technical advice, the successful candidate will also have experience of working to specifications and fully designed schemes.
This role involves working with Estates Facilities Manager, Technical Teams and Contractors to support multi discipline works throughout the delivery phase throughout the estate.
The ability to travel throughout West Yorkshire to suit the needs of West Yorkshire Police is essential.
