This exciting opportunity as Head of Forensic Services will enable you to have the autonomy of the team to not only continue with a high level of service to the organisation but to deliver and design the future operator model.

Salary: HMG C (£86,379 - £94,821) per annum or Superintendent
Hours: 37.00 per week
Contract: Permanent

About the Role
This strategic leadership role will be overseeing the physical and digital forensic teams. As Head of Forensic Services you must have the ability to implement and oversee robust systems and processes. You will be innovative in your vision for the changing demand of Forensic Services both regionally and nationally.
You will be expected to proactively reach out to external stakeholders/providers to ensure all forensic science considered and used, benefit from your expertise, experience of established and assured practice. Also ensuring these relationship are excellently maintained. You will be required to undertake the management of the significant budget using your detailed knowledge and forensic experience to aptly make decisions.
In this role you will be a strong decision maker with the skills to assess complex cases. Working independently whilst ensuring compliance with all forensic quality standards across the force, the FSR’s Act and Statutory Code, other relevant legislation and NPCC guidance across Forensics.

Your Experience
We are looking for candidates who are educated to QCF Level 8 or previous and relevant management experience.
The successful candidate will have senior management experience within a Scientific Services Department or similar function, along with Experience of managing a full range of forensic techniques and processes (including Hi Tech Crime and Communications Intelligence) to effectively support the investigative process.
You will also have proficient experience of managing and operating within recognised quality assurance systems such as; ISO International Standardisation Organisation, IIP Investors in People, EFQM European Foundation for Quality Management.
Travel to sites across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight will be required so the ability to as necessary.
