Job Title: Deployment Manager

Salary: The starting salary is £47,060, which includes allowances totalling £2,928.

The salary is broken down as £44,132 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £52,652. Plus, a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

Location: Kilburn

 

This is an exciting opportunity within the Workforce Planning and Deployment Team of the Metropolitan Police, supporting the direction for the Corporate Workforce Planning and Insight team, through delivery of forecasts & models for all c.50, 000 people into 70+ business units and operational OCUs.

Duties and Responsibilities –

Responsible for collaborating with the Operational Planning teams to identify and solve deployment issues, post decisions, and engage business partners to ensure the correct balance is struck between immediate priorities, budgets, policy & legislation, personal preferences, career progression and equality.

  • Drive and manage effective decision making for Deployment Management including the effective oversight of adjusted duties posting, secondment opportunities, working collaboratively with Operational Planning colleagues, PPIT teams and Change Team colleagues.
  • Work closely with the Operational Planning Managers and Leads to ensure united approach to all deployment decisions and governance processes in support of the forecast and capacity planning function, maintaining the design for the people and posts.
  • Responsible for the integrity of the HR records for deployment ensuring the decisions are reflected in the relevant tools and platforms.
  • Lead and demonstrate a transformative approach across the team with a strong user centricity and service-led mentality; working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and implement changes to process and ways of working that better meet the needs of the organisation.
  • Foster a strong culture of learning and development embedding a practice of review, sharing best practice with others and adopting efficient ways of working
  • Drive visible leadership and presence across the team and with stakeholders to ensure effective engagement at all levels and within the end-to-end process for the workforce deployment process.
