The College of Policing is seeking an outstanding, innovative and visionary leader for the new Centre that will tackle violence against women and girls and other public protection offences. Youll have the unique opportunity to set up the centre and build on the achievements of the Vulnerability Knowledge and Practice Programme, the VAWG Taskforce and the Soteria Joint Unit. You will be able to agree and implement a plan for the Centre and how it will deliver for the public, policing and the governments Safer Streets mission and ambition to halve violence against women and girls (VAWG) in a decade.
As a member of the Colleges executive team you will work across all of policing and in collaboration with our board, the NPCC and relevant committee leads. Youll need fantastic stakeholder communication skills, strong political awareness and be able to influence and engage with ministers, senior civil servants and chief constables. We need someone who can navigate policing through complex and high profile critical incidents with national media attention and stakeholder scrutiny.
We are looking for an experienced senior leader at DCC rank, although we may consider an ACC on promotion, who will champion our Code of Ethics, embed a positive culture which fosters continuous improvement.
