Head of Security and Compliance - Security and Compliance (CTPSE)

A unique and exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced leader to lead our Security, Compliance & Assurance team within Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE).

As the Head of Security & Compliance you will be responsible for ensuring that all matters in relation to security, compliance and assurance are identified, managed and addressed.  This encompasses a diverse collection of professional areas, including areas such as our infrastructure, operations and investigations.  It is the responsibility of the role holder to protect the integrity of the counter terrorism unit and its operations, within complex partnership and governance arrangements across the five forces in the South East.

This is a senior level position that involves working closely with executives and key stakeholders to mitigate risks and drive a culture of security awareness.

The successful role holder will have experience of working in a complex legislative environment, including recent experience of working in a secure environment handling confidential, sensitive and secret intelligence.  Proven experience of working in partnership with stakeholders across the CT security or intelligence environment will be key.

You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home. For this reason a full UK Driving Licence is essential to the role. You will be also required to perform on-call arrangements for immediate response as required across the South East region.

Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary to pass and maintain vetting level DV together with a number of enhanced security checks.  In order to achieve this, you must be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past ten years. Exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad.

You can find more information about security vetting here.
