Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Practitioner - Information Management
This is an exciting opportunity to become personally involved in protecting vulnerable members of your community from harm through provision of information to prospective employers.About The Role:
The purpose of the DBS Team is to safeguard children and vulnerable adults by accessing and reviewing secure Police information assets including the Police National Computer, conducting assessments to national standards, and providing a summary of that information to the Disclosure and Barring service customers and partners to enable safer recruitment decisions.
The DBS Team also discloses information directly to employers through the Common Law Police Disclosures process post-employment when a risk has been identified following an arrest or interview. You would liaise with Police Officers when working on live cases.
Through this role you can make a real difference to people’s lives in protecting those who may be unable to protect themselves and those that trust others to protect them.
The DBS Team is committed to safeguarding the vulnerable. In Beds, Cambs and Herts we service approximately 109,000 applications a year between our three locations and our dynamic Team of 40 people.
