Crime Management Unit Officer

In this role, you will be responsible for auditing and investigating crime reports, ensuring compliance with national crime recording standards (NCRS) and the Victims Charter.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance: Review crime reports to ensure accurate recording and classification of crimes and incidents. Applying Crime outcomes ensuring requirements are met around each outcome
Investigative Support: Provide investigative quality checks and assist officers with crime and non-crime occurrences.
Victim Support: Ensuring officers keep victims of crime updated around their investigation outcome
Data Analysis: Identify trends in local crime to support targeted policing.
Collaboration: Work closely with officers, management teams, and external agencies to maintain high standards of crime recording.
What You’ll Bring:
Proven communication and customer service skills to ensure a seamless experience.
Ability to input, interrogate, and retrieve data using various computer systems.
A proactive and collaborative mindset to work as part of a team.
Decision-making skills with a focus on detail and compliance.
Desirable but Not Essential:
Knowledge of Crime and Incident Records Management Systems (Niche).
Understanding of NCRS, NSIR, and crime processes.
