Youth Outreach and Engagement Practitioner
Main Purpose of Role
Are you enthusiastic about fostering positive relationships between young people and police? Do you have a passion for creating impactful youth and community engagement activities? If so, we want to hear from you!
Seek opportunities to build relationships and increase their confidence in policing.
Enhance public confidence through active participation and consultation with communities and neighbourhood policing teams.
Promote initiatives to encourage young people to take an active role in their communities.
Key Skills & Experience Required
- Deliver a bespoke youth work programme and related activities.
- Organize events to build trust and engagement between young people, communities and the police.
- Identify opportunities to improve engagement within communities.
- Be able to develop strong working relationships both internally and externally to the organisation, with the ability to break down barriers between groups and involve others in discussions and decisions.
- Knowledge of principles of prevention and early intervention.
- Be an effective communicator who is experienced in dealing with a wide range of people and with effective interpersonal skills to ensure professional relationships are built and maintained and barriers to engagement are overcome.

Vetting Level –Recruitment– you must have resided in the UK for at least the last 3 years
