We are looking for someone to #JoinUs as an Administrator in our Stores department. Could you be who we are looking for?

About the team/Department you will be joining:

  • South Wales Police have an exciting opportunity that has arisen for an Admin Assistant. The Admin Assistant will add to our already strong Central Stores team within Estates. 
  • The successful candidate will carry out general administrative duties, assisting the Stores Supervisor to meet the diverse needs of officers and uniformed staff across the whole of South Wales Police. The successful person will provide Admin Support Monday to Friday, however this is a flexible working position that in time, will allow some degree of working flexibly.
  • Located at: Central Stores Office, BRIDGEND

 About the role and your key responsibilities:

 The successful candidate will carry out general administrative duties which may include:-

  • Word processing
  • Updating Spreadsheets
  • Sending E-mails and reviewing mailbox queries
  • Formatting documents
  • Co-ordination of office diaries
  • Ordering
  • Filing and storage of information

 What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:

  • Computer literate and experienced in Microsoft applications
  • Be able to show attention to accuracy and detail
  • Be able to work as part of a team
  • Customer service experience
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

 The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to RV Vetting. 

Qualification Criteria

You must have a good standard of education to at least GCSE A-C Level, including Maths and English, or be able to demonstrate equivalent skills and abilities.

You must be prepared to work towards a qualification in a relevant subject e.g. Level 3 Business Administration.

Shortlisting for this vacancy will take place on week commencing 31st March.

Interviews for this vacancy will take place on either week commencing 28th April or week commencing 5th May.
