Salary: Starting salary £30,190 plus £6,710 London Weighting, per annum
Description of Department:
The NPCC CoLP Economic Crime Portfolio focuses on asset recovery and money laundering. The aim is to enhance the law enforcement response by improving skills, capacity, and technology to prevent, detect, and disrupt money laundering activities through the national coordinators office. Work with various agencies, including the Home Office, National Economic Crime Centre (NECC) and Regional Organised Crime Units (ROCUs), to ensure a coordinated approach.
National Asset Recovery Support Unit (NARSU) is a new team within the Economic Crime Portfolio that has been funded nationally to develop a national approach to Asset Recovery in law enforcement with the aim to improve asset recovery. The team could also expand to act as a central team to review all foreign law enforcement requests to support international law enforcement regarding asset recovery against criminals that reside within the UK.
This role will involve admin support for the NARSU Team and working as part of the team to help develop the new structures and then work to manage them. The role may require travel across the country to visit Police Forces, Regional Policing Teams, suppliers and government departments.
