Counter Terrorism Policing North West (CTPNW) is a five-force collaboration delivering Counter Terrorism (CT) services to our regional forces as well as forming part of the national CT Network. CTPNW’s mission is to work together to keep people safe from terrorism.
We are looking for a committed and outstanding individual who can support CTPNW in achieving its mission.
Are you a detective driven by the thrill of cracking complex and one-of-a-kind cases? With the right training could you take charge of managing the forensic evidence that supports and drives CT investigations?
Do you want to take your career to a new level and dive into managing exhibits from ‘cradle to grave’ being in control of scene searches and examinations, liaising and working alongside experts from a multitude of specialisms plus regularly training and operating with peers from across the CT network?

Within FMT, you will:
• Receive exclusive training you won’t find anywhere else in Policing, including a 3-week residential course in Morton on Marsh and specialised CBRN training amongst a host of other focused, structured training to increase knowledge and skills.

Please send authorisation forms, with Line Manager and Superintendent/ Head of Department approval to Workforce Planning at least 3 working days before the closing date. Workforce Planning will then review eligibility.
Please be advised that following a successful application, final release will be subject to approval by the Deputy Chief Constable. HR reserve the right to withdraw any application that has not been granted approval.
Police Staff are required to relinquish their substantive post if the secondment duration is expected to be over one year.
