ERSOU - ROCU - PC/DC Technical Surveillance Unit Engineer (TSU)
The TSU engineer role involves overseeing and delivering highly technical solutions to covert investigations across the 7-constituent forces that make up the Eastern Region. The role is dynamic, responding to and planning for, serious crime investigations often at short notice. Innovation, skill and experience are qualities that the role holder will depend upon daily.They will be part of an equally motivated and talented team of technicians supporting several operations regionally at any one time. This is a sought-after role tackling some of the most harmful organised crime groups operating across the Region. Where no day is the same, you’ll actively aid teams bring to justice the region’s most dangerous criminals.
A flexible approach to working is essential, there will be a requirement to work unsocial hours with short notice duty changes dependent on operational need and form part of the on-call rota.
Applicants must have a full UK driving licence and pass the relevant vetting process (MV/SC). Location The post is based at a location in Hertfordshire, some limited agile working is possible.

ERSOU – Who we are and what we do
ERSOU is the Eastern Region Special Operations Unit, that oversees and delivers a regional level response to Serious and Organised Crime, and Counter Terrorism Policing for the Forces in the Eastern Region.
ERSOU is made up of both Officers and Police Staff from across the entire region and works closely with the 7 Forces and National Partners. The departments are unique, in that they offer opportunities to work and develop individuals professionally in specialist areas, often delivering capabilities that are provided by local forces.
