ERSOU - ROCU - PC/DC NPCC TI Case Officer
The role of TI Case Officer (ICO) is a collaboration with the NCA but serves the requirements of the ERSOU Sensitive Intelligence Unit and Eastern Region police forces.Based in Vauxhall (moving to Stratford in 2025), this role based within the National Crime Agency (NCA) requires the ICO to deliver high equity intelligence products to support the fight against Serious and Organised Crime in the ERSOU region.
This role provides a unique opportunity to support Eastern Region police forces in the fight against Serious and Organised Crime and to protect our communities.
It is an exciting and unique role where as an ICO you gain first-hand knowledge of Serious and Organised Crime and lead intelligence collection against our highest priorities, delivering significant operational results in collaboration with the SIU and regional Operational teams.
The ICO supports operations in the highest harm and threat areas, exploiting and enhancing live intelligence to problem solve and maximise enforcement opportunities.
Identifying risks and threats to people is also a key part of the role. ICO’s provide intelligence support to assist in the prevention and management of Threats to Life (TTL) to safeguard vulnerable people.
The role includes supporting covert investigations into Murders, Kidnaps, Firearm Threats, Organised Immigration Crime and Drug Supply networks.

An ICO works with innovative technology and must constantly evolve their skills to keep up with the ever-growing complexity and sophistication of organised crime.
Whether it is identifying and disseminating intelligence around firearms, criminal cash, drugs, an organised immigration crime attempt, or an opportunity to identify a person of interest, the work of the ICO ensures that Operational Units achieve the greatest impact and value to an investigation.
The ICO’s work is integral to the disruption of organised and major crime in the Eastern region.
The ICO role requires flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home.
The role holder will be required to work a shift pattern of earl and late shifts and cannot work remotely due to the nature of the role.
Please note that the location of this role will move to Stratford, London in 2025
Due to the nature of the work, security is of paramount importance and therefore it will be necessary to pass and maintain SC vetting level and undergo a number of enhanced security checks. To achieve this, you must have resided in the UK for the past five years.
The successful candidate must also be willing to undergo Developed Vetting (DV). To pass DV vetting you must have resided in the UK for the past 10 years. Exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government) and studying abroad.
