£24,258 - £28,653 but with shift allowance on top of this the wage ranges from £29,100* to £34, 380* pro rata

We are currently recruiting Communications Centre Operators to work within Cumbria Constabulary's Command and Control Room based at Penrith HQ.

Do you possess strong communication skills, an ability to multitask & make decisions while remaining calm under pressure?

As a Communications Centre Operator you will be responsible for providing a professional service, prioritising tasking of resources to incidents, managing radio communications with front line officers, while updating live time information onto command-and-control systems.

This role would be suited to someone who has strong communication skills, an awareness of confidentiality, and has excellent IT skills.

The Command and Control Room is a 24/7 department, the successful candidate will need to be flexible and able to work a shift patterns that includes weekend working, nights and bank holidays.

Successful candidates will be required to commence employment on the 6th May 2025 to attend a Dispatch training course.
