The City of London Police are seeking to recruit a Commander who will bring energy, drive, and leadership experience to the national policing response to fraud, economic and cyber crime. It is essential that candidates are team players who project our culture and values into our partnerships across the law enforcement, regulatory and private sectors. The successful candidate will excel in driving equity, diversity and inclusion, and they will ensure our people have the leadership, skills, tools, and support to deliver a modern and professional service that meets the needs of the public and our partners.
The City of London Police Commissioner holds the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) lead role for Economic and Cyber Crime. The role of the Commander, Economic and Cyber Crime, working to the Assistant Commissioner, provides strategic leadership across these portfolios, including national teams based within the City of London Police that investigate and coordinate the investigation of complex fraud cases across England and Wales.
Applications are invited from substantive Commanders and ACCs, and those currently in the final assessment phase of ELP who are due to be signed off by 7th February 2025 are eligible to apply. Substantive appointment will be based on successful completion of the ELP.
