Salary: PO3 – £45,147.00 to £48,894.00 per annum
 

Hours: 37.00 per week

 

Contract: Permanent

We are recruiting for a Training Manager to join our Learning & Development Department. This is an exciting and challenging role with a focus on overseeing the high risk areas of Public and Personal Safety Training (PPST) and Emergency First Aid (EFA) Delivery.

 

About the Role

 

 

As Training Manager, you will lead on efficient and effective training methods to meet the Force training requirements in the PPST and Emergency First Aid areas. You will line manage a group of dedicated Trainers and ensure the training is delivered in line with strategic objectives, College of Policing stipulations/guidance, and agreed timescales.

 

As a line manager, you will conduct performance reviews, maintain CPD records, coach and mentor, and deal with performance, disciplinary, and welfare issues.

 

You will also work collaboratively with other L&PD Senior Leaders to ensure the department delivers an annual training programme which meets the needs of the Constabulary, along with supporting the implementation and delivery of the Police Education Qualification and other apprenticeships.

What does our successful candidate look like?

 

We are looking for someone who holds a QCF level 6 qualification, along with an L&D qualification which is equivalent to the L&D Diploma at QCF level 4, or work experience deemed to be at a comparable level.

 

You will have experience of developing, coordinating, and implementing training programmes and projects. You will also have recent experience as a Senior Manager with the ability to balance competing demands and use a problem solving approach to complex issues.

 

Excellent analysis and reporting skills will enable you to monitor our compliance in the areas of PPST and EFA. You will liaise with Senior Officers to keep them updated as to the performance of their Officers and come up with innovative ways to ensure we are able to fulfil the demand increase due to an uplift in Policing in Hampshire & the Isle of Wight.

 

This role involves travelling to locations across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Therefore, it is a requirement that you have access to reliable transport.
