Several exciting Project Co-ordinator opportunities have become available to join the growing NPAS Projects Team in the successful and timely delivery of projects within our major change portfolio. These are permanent, full-time roles which are home-based with national travel being a requirement of the role.

The role

As a Project Co-ordinator, you will assist the Project Manager in delivering significant major change and helping to shape the future direction of NPAS. You will be responsible for coordinating the maintenance of all project plan activity, using computerised planning and tracking software to produce accurate resource plans and undertake project progress monitoring and reporting. You will also identify potential issues and recommend remedial action as appropriate to the Project Manager. You will also organise and attend project meetings in order to provide a support and facilitation service ensuring that necessary documentation is prepared and circulated within required timescales

The Team delivers a wide and varied change portfolio, from inception through the development of robust, evidenced-based business cases to implementation using a range of project management tools and techniques.

In the role of Project Co-ordinator, you will work on projects at a national, regional, and local level. Our projects cover all areas of Police Aviation, including aircraft modification, radio communications, estate infrastructure as well as ‘proof of concept’ evaluation of new technologies and working practices.
This role will involve some travel throughout England and Wales as and when required.

What will you need?

We are looking for people who have demonstratable and evidenced experience of working within a project delivery function. You will also have:
• A professional qualification in project management such as APM, Prince2, PMP or equivalent experience
• Experience of working and being part of a delivery team delivering large multi discipline projects
• Ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders at all levels
• People leadership skills and a strong track record of working as a key contributor within a project delivery team
• Experience of dealing with complex problems and creating solutions
• Strong influencing and communication skills
• Strong collaborative skills, team player as well as demonstrating an ability to work individually
• Good understanding of cost control and preparation of formal business documentation
