About the Role
As a Community Safety Partnership Engagement Officer, you will work within our communications and engagement team playing a vital role in fostering strong relationships with Community Safety Partnerships (CSPs) across the Thames Valley. Acting as a key representative of the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, you will ensure a professional and consistent approach to engagement, collaboration, and support. Your work will involve being the conduit advising CSPs on funding matters and developing a unified approach to OPCC engagement in community safety across the region.
Key Responsibilities -
- Stakeholder engagement, building and maintain strong relationships with all CSPs across the Thames Valley, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Consultation, ensuring the voice of all Thames Valley communities are listened to and understood, by attending the CSP meetings
- Advisory support, provide expert advice on funding matters, ensuring CSPs are equipped to make informed decisions that align with community safety goals and the PCC’S Police and Crime Plan.
- Professional representation, acting as a representative of the OPCC, delivering a consistent, professional approach that reflects the values and priorities of the organisation.
- Development of best practice, supporting CSPs in aligning their strategies with broader community safety objectives, contributing to a safer Thames Valley region.
- Engagement, undertaking any ad hoc duties as directed by the Communications & Engagement Manager as necessary.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Excel at building and managing stakeholder relationships, ensuring open and productive communication across diverse groups and displaying personal gravitas.
- Ideally have an understanding of community safety issues and funding processes, with the ability to provide clear, actionable advice.
- Be committed to delivering a high standard of engagement and representation, reflecting the values of the OPCC.
