Salary - £35,526 -£37,692 (pro rata as applicable)

Two full time posts Monday to Friday 7.24 hours per day 37 hours per week

One part time post Monday , Tuesday 7.24 per day and Wednesday 3.42 hours AM 18.5 hours per week.

West Yorkshire Police are looking to recruit Court Prosecution Officer to join the Prosecution and Casualty Prevention Unit currently based in Bradford..

As a Unit, the Prosecution and Casualty Prevention team is responsible for the processing and handling of all camera detections in the West Yorkshire Police area, including the offering of National Driver Re-training Scheme courses; dealing with telephone enquiries from members of the public concerning the issuance of tickets, summonses, postal requisitions and judicial enforcement and for processing DVLA, fraud, and freedom of information enquiries submitted to the Force.

As a Court Prosecution Officer within the department, it will be your responsibility to provide an efficient and effective Prosecution service including presenting case evidence in court, case management, file evaluation and decision making on behalf of the Unit ensuring that the Organization meets all objectives within its portfolio, maintaining output and adhering to Court deadlines in accordance with policy and legislation, ensuring that the Unit consistently provides an effective prosecution service to the organization, Partner agencies and HM Courts.

You will be able to demonstrate previous knowledge and experience of working within the Criminal Justice business area and have previous supervisory/managerial experience with a proven ability to communicate in an articulate manner within challenging environments. This role requires regular attendance at court on behalf of the organisation to present cases for prosecution.

A knowledge of computerized databases and software packages specifically Microsoft Office is essential, as well as a flexible approach to working hours to deliver service provision that meets our customers' requirements.
