Applications Analyst

To assist with the delivery of the annual business plan on a day-to-day basis by delivering the design, implementation, support, maintenance and continuous improvement of police ICT systems within the parameters of the Department’s Service Level Agreements.

What You’ll Do

To liaise with external agencies & organisations, external suppliers and internal customers in order to efficiently implement, maintain and enhance systems.

To liaise with internal ICT functions to co-ordinate work for system delivery and support.

To install database software, create databases and apply patches.

To manage the capacity of force database instances with emphasis on performance and cost by maintaining an inventory and relevant metrics.

To automate processes in order to improve reliability and repeatability.

To undertake database performance management and tuning.
