Digital Forensic Examiner
The successful candidate will be required to provide a force resource facilitating the forensic recovery, analysis, and presentation of digital evidence from devices including mobile telephones, tablets, computers, and other digital devices in the Digital Forensics Unit and at scene, in accordance with ISO 17025 standards.You will be required to ensure the continuity of all exhibits maintaining integrity throughout to prove or disprove the presence of criminal offences under investigation, give advice and guidance to investigating officers, compile findings of evidence reports and to present such evidence in a court of law. Staff are expected to identify threat, harm, and risk during their forensic activities.
The role is a career pathway role and subject to a 3-year probationary period until fully signed off as a competent Digital Forensic Examiner. The successful candidate will be required to attend and pass role specific training courses which are fully funded by Durham Constabulary and evidence competence in role at each pay point prior to moving onto the next.
