An opportunity has arisen for an HR professional with a keen interest in employee relations, to support our HR Business Partnerships team in delivering a high quality HR service to the force. You will be our first point of contact in dealing with a variety of queries, using your expert knowledge to provide advice and guidance on HR matters.
Description of Department:
The HR team sits within our Corporate Services Directorate and is responsible for all HR matters within the City of London Police.This role sits within the HR Business Partnerships team, who provide a service to each of our four Directorates aligning HR activity to operational priorities.
In this varied role you will ensure ER matters are progressing in a timely manner, to include attendance management, occupational health referrals, disciplinary activity, performance management and grievances.In addition you will be supporting the HR Business Partnerships team in the coordination of regular meetings and activity which support the high quality service delivered to Directorates.You will have the opportunity to become involved in a variety of policy and project work across the HR spectrum.
To be successful in the role your skills and experience should include;
- Significant HR generalist knowledge and experience including good knowledge of UK employment legislation and case law.
- Experience in developing good working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Knowledge of Police Regulations or an ability to research and develop own knowledge of these.
- Ability to work without supervision and use own initiative.
- Strong customer service orientation.
