Job Title: Workshop Administrator

Salary: £23,736.00 to £27,318,00 

Hours: 37 hours a week, Permanent

Location: Melton, East Yorkshire, HU14 3BQ

The Job holder will be a member of the Workshop Team.

  • Reporting to the Fleet Maintenance manager, you will Deliver a broad range of administrative and procedural tasks associated with the management and maintenance of the Vehicle and Operational Equipment Workshop efficiently and effectively
  • In liaison with the Fleet Maintenance Manager, develop and implement procedures, systems and working practices utilising the computerised fleet management systems
  • Carry out and oversee the administration of all workshop-related support activity
  • In conjunction with the Fleet Maintenance Manager, oversee the administration of Health & Safety, carrying out monthly compliance checks and ensuring company risk assessments, COSHH and LOLER records are up to date.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Administration of all documentation and process associated with the disposal of vehicles and/or equipment, together with the maintenance of all computer records.
  • Assist with the management of the vehicle telematics system and the information gathered from it, and in conjunction with the Deputy Joint Fleet Manager, deliver user familiarisation training on the telematics system and provide guidance to fleet users on vehicle telematics.
  • Maintain comprehensive fleet records via use of fleet management systems to ensure that they effectively meet ESFM standards, policies and procedures.
  • Support Workshop Supervision with call handling including the booking of vehicles to external contractors.
  • Responsible for new vehicle deliveries checking over the vehicles and completing job cards for vehicles to be commissioned. Send radio and equipment details to the relevant department.
  • Undertake stores-related administration and other tasks to support Workshop Stores person.
  • Undertake all administration in relation to vehicle taxation for Humberside Police.
  • Prepare Vehicle off Road reports as resilience.
  • Prepare Police and Fire & Rescue Service monthly KPI’s.
