Regional Science and Innovation Manager

East Midlands Special Operations Unit are seeking a Regional Science and Innovation Manager, on a full-time, fixed-term until 31st March 2026.
You'll provide leadership, management and coordination of science and innovation across East Midlands Policing. Working with regional and national colleagues, you will provide a consistent and coherent approach to Science and Innovation.
What you'll be doing:
- You will coordinate and manage regional science and innovation activity for policing, enhancing and accelerating the effectiveness of innovation projects and the implementation of innovative solutions across the region and nationally
- Working with the National Science and Innovation Manager, you will ensure that the process of identifying, implementing and delivering benefit from innovation is effective
- You will work in partnership with other RSIMs and innovation networks, to facilitate a robust and transparent community approach, supporting the Regional Research and Innovation Coordinator as well as contribute to evidence-based policing initiatives
The must haves:
- You will be educated to degree level in a science or social science discipline or have sufficient experience of working at a similar level
- Knowledge and experience of exploring ways of improving efficiency and effectiveness and promoting improvements in value for money across complex organisations
- Have experience of successfully delivering complex change projects and/or programmes at an organisational level, including robust benefits realisation
