Job Title: Business Design Analyst -Integrated Design & Delivery
Salary: The starting salary is £45,073, which includes allowances totalling £2,841.
The salary is broken down as £42,232 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £50,385 Plus, a location allowance of £1,841 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.
Location: Newlands Park - We want to provide you with the flexibility to balance a rewarding career with home-life and personal wellbeing. You should expect a hybrid working pattern, including three days working out of our base location (40-42 Newlands Park, Sydenham, SE26 5NF) and / or working alongside your team in other Met locations when needed. The remaining two days you will have the flexibility to work in a hybrid way, including working from home. However, individuals must remain flexible on individual agile working arrangements so that you are available to attend a specific work location when there is a business need to do so.

We are recruiting for a Business Design Analysts and Strategic Design Analysts to work in the Integrated Design and Delivery Team of the Strategy and Transformation Directorate
About the role
As a Business Design Analyst you will play an essential role in translating strategic priorities into practical solutions through the creation, review and assurance of operating models. This includes customer insight analysis, service design and innovation, process improvement, and organisational capability design. No two days are the same and what you do will directly impact the frontline and the communities of London. For example you could be engaging with officers and staff to make recommendations to improve the efficiency of our emergency response teams or conduct observations at our emergency call centre to refine processes to provide a better service to victims.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing operating models including the design and delivery of thematic products, such as end-to-end customer and employee journeys working with frontline officers and members of the public
- Reviewing project designs and existing operating models and making recommendations to improve their efficiency and effectiveness.
- Driving the assurance of programme designs, ensuring they fully understand interactions and impact across the business.
- Post-implementation design reviews, updating designs, or making recommendations for further changes as necessary to support the evolving needs of the business.
- Mentoring, coaching and educating in business design methodology.
