Job Title: Junior Business Design Analyst - Integrated Design & Delivery
Salary: The starting salary is £37,289, which includes allowances totalling £2,841.
The salary is broken down as £34,448 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £36,864 Plus, a location allowance of £1,841 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.
Location: Newlands Park - We want to provide you with the flexibility to balance a rewarding career with home-life and personal wellbeing. You should expect a hybrid working pattern, including three days working out of our base location (40-42 Newlands Park, Sydenham, SE26 5NF) and / or working alongside your team in other Met locations when needed. The remaining two days you will have the flexibility to work in a hybrid way, including working from home. However, individuals must remain flexible on individual agile working arrangements so that you are available to attend a specific work location when there is a business need to do so.

We are recruiting for Junior Business Design Analysts to work in the Strategy and Transformation Directorate
About the role
You will work as part of a team that takes the strategic priorities of the Met and translates them into practical solutions. This includes understanding what the public and victims need, designing new or improved processes and helping to identify the impact of any changes. No two days are the same and what you do will directly help the frontline and the communities of London. For example you could be engaging with officers and staff to make recommendations to improve our emergency response teams or mapping the end-to-end customer journey of victims.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the design and delivery, such as end-to-end customer journeys working with frontline officers and members of the public
- Designing and supporting the delivery of workshops, stakeholder engagement and other relevant meetings and boards
- Contribute to the delivery and assurance of business design products.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research and assess current state of teams and services to support the team to define problem statements and develop options.
- Extract and analyse data from the Met’s systems to define organisational problems and design appropriate solutions.
- Supporting and contributing to aims of Strategy and Transformation group as a joined-up team.
- Proactively identify risks or issues in specific programmes that could impact the design of other designs across Transformation.
