Lancashire Constabulary’s Finance Department is seeking a Procurement Business Partner to be based at Hutton Headquarters. The site is accessible by public transport and there is also free car parking on site.
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Professional (must be part or fully qualified to CIPS level 5 or 6 ) to become part of a Strategic Procurement Team with significant procurement experience , within a public sector environment . Experience should include leading complex and high value procurement projects and tender processes, experience in the use of e tendering systems , a working knowledge of a category based approach and the ability to interpret and apply Public Contract Regulations 2015. We provide a high quality procurement function to the Constabulary, supporting the Procurement and Contracts Manager. The team provides internal and external stakeholder support for procurement projects. We also lead, negotiate, construct and manage diverse and complex procurement contracts of significant value in line with customer requirements and prescribed timescales. The candidate will demonstrate a strong personal commitment to delivering and achieving value for money, whilst providing a high quality service.
The salary is based within an LC6 to LC8 pay grade, however, the department are open to allow candidates to commence the role at an LC7 or LC8 pay grade dependant on qualifications and experience. Please find the progression arrangements at the bottom of the job specification.
