Transferee and Re-Joiner Police Constables - Talent Pool (B Division)

Start Your Journey with British Transport Police (BTP) – A Force that Makes a Difference

The British Transport Police (BTP) is looking for dedicated and community-focused individuals to join our Police Constable Talent Pool in various locations across London and the South East. This unique opportunity invites both current and former officers to join a supportive, inclusive, and dynamic organization where you can make a real impact.

"When I joined BTP, I initially thought I might eventually transfer to a Home Office Force once I reached a certain point in my career. Now, nearly 24 years later, I’m still here, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the choice to stay. BTP has provided me with incredible opportunities for professional growth, specialized roles, and the chance to serve communities across England, Scotland, and Wales. I’ve worked in both uniformed and investigative roles, and I’m now proud to guide our response to Violence and Intimidation Against Women and Girls (VIAWG). BTP is truly a force of innovation, particularly in the way we prioritize safeguarding the vulnerable. I’ve been fortunate to work with inspiring colleagues who care deeply about making a difference. If you’re looking to start a meaningful career, I’d highly encourage you to join us!” - DCI Nia Mellor

The application process is simple—just click ‘apply’ below to access our form. There is no formal closing date, but we encourage you to apply soon, as we may close the advert once sufficient applications are received. This is a talent pool opportunity, so while immediate placement may not be guaranteed, successful applicants will be considered for up to 12 months.

When applying, please select only the locations you’re prepared to work in, as you may be posted to any of your chosen sites. For your convenience, we’ve attached a map of our B-Division locations.
