ICT Network Support Engineer

The Policing Vision 2025 states that, “By 2025 digital policing will make it easier and more consistent for the public to make digital contact, improve our use of digital intelligence and evidence and ensure we can transfer all material in a digital format to the criminal justice system.”

At Cleveland Police we are committed to providing the information technology needed to deliver the vision, from investigations, to supporting the public, and interacting with the Justice sector and other agency partners. A variety of digital channels will allow the public to communicate with us in new ways, to report crime and to carry out routine transactions.

To support this vision we are inviting application for the post of Network Support Engineer. As postholder, you will provide support, maintenance, development, technical network administration and security for the Force Network and Telephony environments.

It is essential that you are educated to HNC or degree level, or possess equivalent ICT experience. Applicants must have experience of working in Telecoms voice and data networking as well as being adept at managing conflicting priorities, ensuring that a high quality of service is maintained and delivered. Although not essential it would be advantageous to have experience in project delivery, risk management and safeguarding.
