Perpetrator Intelligence Officer

Main Purpose of Role

 

To be the central specialist intelligence resource and point of contact for Nottinghamshire Police Child At Risk of Exploitation Team (CARE) within Public Protection compiling core intelligence products, researching, and managing intelligence, as well as maintaining the departments performance data, briefing and tasking systems.

 

 

Key Skills & Experience Required

 

  • Experience of researching/collating information and presenting it to colleagues and other agencies.
  • Experience in the appropriate handling and development of restricted/sensitive intelligence and information.
  • Knowledge of Multi-Agency approaches to safeguarding children, including those children who may be at risk of CSE
  • Experience of working with vulnerable children and families
  • Experience of working proficiently in a team environment
  • Experience of making reasoned decisions in complex situations
  • Awareness of the utilisation of the National Decision-Making Model
  • Experience of creating and maintaining databases and other use of MS Office software.
  • Experience of developing and maintaining productive relationships in a Multi-Agency setting, to achieve desired outcomes
  • Knowledge/experience of perpetrator focussed interventions would be beneficial but not essential.

Vetting Level – Management – you must have resided in the UK for at least the last 5 years
