PC/DC - Serious and Organised Crime officer
Exciting vacancies have arisen for enthusiastic and energetic officers to join the Serious and Organised Crime Unit (SOCU) as a DC/PC in our surveillance teams.From their base in the North-East of the county of Bedfordshire, SOCU support the force in covert tactics to target serious and organised criminality. They work with investigation teams in conducting surveillance on dedicated targets, ranging from kidnap jobs through to locating murder suspects and the targeting of SOC. SOCU also strive to support the force control strategies, working with a broad spectrum of departments to combat MVAWG, to disrupt serious criminality and to bring offenders to justice with a strong evidential base.
You will be responsible for assisting complex and serious investigations within Bedfordshire, conducting covert surveillance on subjects and meeting operational objectives. You will receive training in surveillance to a nationally recognised level and be responsible for the delivery of the covert tactics in a policing operation.
We are looking for officers who are proactive and tenacious in nature, who are motivated to tackle organised crime and have the patience to support complex investigations, balanced with the enthusiasm to make a difference to the communities of Bedfordshire. This advert is open to qualified DCs and PCs, who have passed their probationary period. Those with a desire to undertake their PIP2 portfolio will be supported in that progression.
