Gwent Police are seeking applications from previous serving police officers and police staff with investigative experience. This is not restricted to former detectives but any former officer with an investigative mindset can apply. You must be either PIP 1 or PIP 2 qualified to be eligible.
Twelve-month fixed term contracts as police staff will be offered as investigative support officers to assist the Force Investigation Hub which is responsible for Prisoner handovers and Crime Investigations.
You will provide a range of support on investigations and will be required to work as part of an investigation team, gathering, reviewing and presenting evidence as required specific to the department and investigation to which deployed.
Positions are available in the Pontypool area but will service the force area. We will be able to accommodate both full time and part time hours. Shift work can also be accommodated.
