Role: DACT Researcher (Domestic Abuse Coordination Team)

Department: Force Control Room (FCR)

Scale: SC4

Salary: £24,921 - £27,351 (plus allowances)

Location: Melton 2

Hours:  37 Per week – Shift Pattern (Full-Time) Office Based

Contract: Permanent

As a DACT Researcher, you will provide analytical support to the DACT Team, ensuring the timely and effective aggregation of data held on the force systems to provide the force with a high-quality assessment package to aid in the safeguarding of victims of domestic abuse.

The role holder will be required to act as the point of contact for DACT, answering emails, calls and direct queries as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that actions do not impede the efficiency and effectiveness of the Command or contravene Practice Directions.
  • Ensuring compliance with security procedures and relevant legislation when responding to internal and external queries for information.
  • Maintains accurate records of relevant information using appropriate systems to ensure an audit trail and to measure and improve performance.
  • Keep abreast of changes to Force Policies, procedures and any relevant legislation ensuring best practice and maintenance of Continued Professional Development (CPD). 
  • Decisions are made within generally defined guidelines, but the post holder will be required to use judgment and discretion in dealing with non-routine issues or issues where there is no readily available precedent or available supervision.

  • Experience of working in a clerical field, incorporating record keeping, telephone work etc

  • Carries out tasks in an accurate and methodical manner with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritise workload.
