Forensic Imaging Technician

To provide a professional Forensic imaging service and CCTV retrieval service to the Force, including the production of audio, motion and still imagery as required. To retrieve, examine and forensically extract data stored on a range of digital and non-digital equipment, both in a laboratory and external premises across Lincolnshire (if required). To process, copy, edit and produce evidential media products for the investigative and judicial process all to an evidential standard, meeting the requirements as documented in the Forensic Science Regulator (FSR) Code of Practice for all activities within the scope of the FSR code.

Progressive development in the role requires trained technicians to undertake advanced work with minimal supervision and to a higher standard thereby incurring greater responsibility and accountability.

To demonstrate the force values at all times. All staff involved in carrying out functions in this role will do so in accordance with the principles of the Code of Ethics. The aim of the Code of Ethics is to support each member of the policing profession to deliver the highest professional standards in their service to the public.
