Police Officer - Police Constable Entry Programme (PCEP)
Become a police officer with the Police Constable Entry Programme (PCEP) and earn a competitive salary while helping improve the lives of people in our communities.
As a full-time officer on the Police Constable Entry Programme, you will be able to join the frontline of policing, earning a starting salary of £28,551 whilst also learning the crucial skills and practices to become a fully qualified police officer.
This is a 2-year programme designed for candidates who are not eligible to apply through our other entry routes. It provides new recruits with a blend of practical ‘on-the-job’ experience and classroom-based learning.
This route does not give any qualification at the end of the two-year period, as candidates will not study for a degree. Whichever route you choose to join us, you’ll receive the best possible training and are expected to reach a standard of operational competence by the end of this period.
If you have already been made a conditional offer for PCDA/DHEP then you will not be able to switch onto this entry route.
